După 26 de ani pe banca lui Manchester United, perioadă în care s-a încoronat de 13 ori campion în Premier League și de două ori campion al Europei, Sir Alex Ferguson și-a anunțat retragerea din funcția de manager al diavolilor roșii. În vârstă de 71 de ani, scoțianul a venit la United în noiembrie 1986 și este considerat cel mai de succes antrenor din istoria fotbalului britanic.
Deocamdată, campioana Angliei nu a anunțat numele succesorului lui Ferguson, fapt pentru care speculațiile se înmulțesc de la oră la oră. Se va merge pe o continuitate, cu David Moyes, alt scoțian sau se va adopta metoda marketingului cu Jose Mourinho ?
